The students at SaMM are surrounded by a rich and positive musical environment in which they obviously thrive. Every time I have worked with the students there, taking various workshops for all levels and ages, I have been struck by the engagement of each and every student, their passion and creativity coupled with a with willingness to learn and participate, as well as the inclusive atmosphere. I always look forward to these exciting mornings full of musical discovery. The core values at SaMM created by the tutors and trustees are that of love for music and sharing in a thriving yet non-competitive environment in which each student is encouraged to their highest creative powers and potential, stimulating them to do their best, no matter what their level or how long they have played.

I think that being introduced to the world of music and having an opportunity to learn from an early age is a joy every child should be able to experience. Samm gives children the opportunity of high quality musical learning in a creative and fun environment.

As someone who has been lucky enough to be exposed to music and the opportunity of a wonderful musical education throughout my childhood and growing up I have discovered how beneficial and helpful It has been in my life and it is my passion to pass this on in an environment where it can be received and people are so keen to learn.

Music is not only a powerful tool of expression, but that of communicating and sharing with others.

It stimulates imagination, and creativity, opens the ability to be bold in expression, raises confidence and helps people learn to listen more acutely and access their own unique expression.

It is a joy working with SaMM and I keep being surprised by the incredible ability of music to breaks all barriers between people, waking up ones inner potential, creativity and musical learning.
